SEAN Wilson was once a well known face on the Corrie cobbles, thanks to his long stint on the soap.
It’s now giving the famous street for another round- here’s what we know about the actor…
Who is Sean Wilson?
Sean Wilson born, 52, was born April 4, 1965 in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire and is an English actor.
He shot to fame when he played Martin Platt in Coronation Street from 1985 until 2005.
Sean has also had roles on Casualty, Waterloo Road, Silent Witness and Doctors.
In 2006 he came 6th on Dancing On Ice.
Is Sean returning to Corrie?
The Sun revealed how Sean will be returning to Coronation Street playing Martin Platt for an extended period.
He will return to his role as part of his on-screen son David’s drug and rape storyline later this year.
A show source said: “Martin has been mentioned a lot on the show since he left but it has involved other characters, mostly David, going to see him off-screen.
“But with David’s rape storyline, the writers thought it would be a good time to have him back properly.
“It’s not a permanent arrangement but fans will get to see Sean back as Martin for a good few weeks.”
Sean left The Street after clashing with writers over a storyline when he refused to act out a plot where he had a relationship with an under-age girl and at the time said he would never return.
He said: “They were very rude to me when I left. I would rather walk down any other street even if I had a nail in my shoe.”
He will return on March 22, 2018.
