EASTENDERS legend Steve McFadden is doing nightclub appearances in towns across the country and charging fans £5 for tickets to meet him.

EastEnders star Steve, 57, has signed up for a series of gigs up and down the UK and he is giving fans the chance to take a selfie with him for just a fiver.

The small fee covers club entry and a meeting with soap veteran, who will “selfie with everyone”, according to one promo poster.

Steve, who plays boozy bad boy Phil in the BBC soap, will be in Bognor Regis on May 6 for an appearance at the Sheiks Bognor Pier venue.

Bosses of the club have revealed the actor is happy to take pictures with revellers and is "well up for a laugh."

The club's promo post on Facebook explained: "One of the most famous faces on British TV is coming to party Sheiks style.

"One of the best PA's [sic] for Meet & Greet, well up for a laugh and will literally try and say hello and selfie with everyone !!!"

As well as Bognor, Steve is also heading to Norwich tonight, as well as Fife in Scotland for a club appearance on Saturday, Bolton on March 17 and Redditch on March 25.

One gig next month at Skiddle nightclub in Stafford is offering tickets for £6, but there is free entry for party-goers named Phil and Peggy - after the famous Mitchell characters.

Several of the venues have also urged clubbers to come along to the event to get "Phil Mitchelled" - a reference to the EastEnders character's notoriously boozy antics on the soap.

Steve will also been hitting clubs in Hull, Falkirk, Oldham, Sutton and Coventry and more this spring.

Fans have been sent into a frenzy over the news that the Albert Square tough guy is coming to a town near them.

They have even been sharing pictures of posters advertising the news.
