Arsenal fans poke fun at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as Manchester City batter 10-man Liverpool at the Etihad
Manchester City's Premier League clash with Liverpool had all the ingredients to be a truly sensational spectacle.
But it seems it only lived up to that billing for the Citizens fans.
Liverpool started the game at the Etihad brightly before going a goal behind when Sergio Aguero found the back of the net.
They were then reduced to 10-men after Sadio Mane was shown a straight red card for a high-footed challenge on Ederson.
Fans and pundits alike were split on whether the decision to send the forward off was the correct one, but replays showed his foot definitely made contact with the keeper's face.
After that the Reds capitulated and a rampant Manchester City team turned on the class, doubling their lead through Gabriel Jesus just before the break.
Jurgen Klopp brought Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on for Mohamed Salah as the second half got underway, but to be fair to the England international, there was absolutely nothing he could do to turn the tide.
Well, Manchester City, with their tails up, continued to pile on the pressure and grabbed a further three more goals through Jesus and Leroy Sane (two).
Not a great first day on the job for Oxlade-Chamberlain, especially considering he was on the wrong end of a 4-0 drubbing in his last game for Arsenal.
It can only get better, of course, but football fans are still taking this opportunity to have a laugh.
