A two-headed lamb and a monkey serving a cat’s severed head on a tray… museums share their creepiest exhibits online
Weird dolls, stuffed snakes and a dissection of a face are among the sinister posts
HALF term may have parents flocking to museums but there are some exhibits that should definitely be kept away from the kids.
Museum staff have been sharing their creepiest exhibits online and they really are the stuff of nightmares.
Among the macabre displays are a stuffed monkey dressed as a waiter and serving a cat’s severed HEAD on a tray.
Another is a stuffed mongoose locked in battle with a snake, which it has half-swallowed.
A two-headed lamb and the dissection of a facial nerve are among the other exhibits tweeted on the #museum101 share – along with some very sinister dolls.
A nun with demonic eyes and a scarred face was posted by the Pusey House Library and a creepy doll with a ventriloquist type mouth and eyes that have rolled into her head was also posted.
The J Paul Getty museum posted a totally disconcerting disembodied eye with the words: “I always feel like somebody’s watching me.”
A man’s head and a cat with fangs, displayed with a skull, are also included in the feed.
