An employee has been suspended after Tara Waterfield claimed a 'creepy' man asked her out for a drink
A PHONE shop employee has been suspended after allegedly texting a schoolgirl customer to ask her out on a date.
Tara Waterfield, then 17, claims she was called “absolutely f****** gorgeous” by a “creepy” worker who wouldn’t stop staring at her.
The suggestive message was sent 20 minutes after leaving the Three store in Drake Circus Mall, Plymouth, with her mum.
It read: “This is so naughty of me.
“I just had to say you are absaloutley [SIC] f****** gorgeous, legs for days girl mmm mmmm mmm yes.
“From the guy in the store who couldn’t stop looking.
“Free for a drink any time I’m so already at the bar waiting for you!”
It is alleged the older man sent her the text after getting hold of her personal details from the shop’s database.
Her furious dad Brian, 71, complained to Three and was offered them £150 compensation while the phone giant launched an investigation.
Tara told Plymouth Herald: “From the minute I walked in I noticed a guy staring at me.
“Every time I looked around he was staring and smiling at me. At first I smiled back just to be friendly but after a while it was getting creepy.

“I was a little bit mortified. I always get my phones from that store. When it first happened I couldn’t walk past.
“I was a bit worried he would turn up outside my house or come and find me somewhere.”
The member of staff involved has since been suspended as the investigation continues.
A spokesperson for Three said: “We have apologised to the customer for the inappropriate behaviour and made an offer of compensation.
“The member of staff has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation into the matter.”
