What time does the Grand National 2017 start? Weather forecast, ticket prices and TV channel details for the big race at Aintree
It's not long now until the biggest race of the year is among us.
Millions of people across the UK will be tuning in to watch the Grand National and it's a decent bet that one or two of them will have had a flutter.
Thousands of fans will flock to Aintree to see if they can find the winner among the 40-strong field that take to the famous course with its 30 fences.
But when does it take place? Who is the favourite? And who should you be backing?
Here's all you need to know ahead of the biggest day in racing...
When is the race?
The big races takes place on Saturday April 8.
What time will it start?
The action gets underway at 5.15pm.
With a full slate of Premier League action and The Masters taking place that afternoon it's a great day to be a sport fan.
Where does it take place?
Aintree racecourse in Liverpool, of course.
The famous steeplechase has been run on the same course since 1839.

The race will be shown on ITV for the first time this year after they snapped up UK broadcasting rights for the sport.
But if you can't be near a television then we will have full, comprehensive coverage on our MirrorSport live blog.
Who will be running?
A total of 40 runners should start the race, but they are yet to be selected. A total of 110 horses have entered and been assigned a weight and trainers have from between now and the race to withdraw entries as they see fit.
The final field will be decided on the Thursday and Friday before the race.

What's the weather forecast?
The Met Office is predicting overcast weather throughout the morning - with sunny spells from around 4pm onwards.
It's set to be slightly warmer than Thursday and Friday, with highs of around 13 degrees.
Can I still get tickets?
There are a few £27 tickets remaining in the Steeplechase enclosure on the official Grand National website.
