ENGLAND retained the Six Nations trophy with one game remaining after their dominant 61-21 triumph over Scotland.

Eddie Jones’ side picked up an 18th consecutive victory to secure back-to-back Six Nations Grand Slams, equalling New Zealand’s record-winning run.

The Red Rose won the title with just 18 points as they cannot be caught by Ireland and France who are both on ten points.

And this is, of course, the last chance for players to impress Warren Gatland before he names his squad for the British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand.

  • A team winning a game shall be awarded FOUR match points
  • If the winning team score four tries or more in the process, FIVE match points
  • If a team loses a match, they shall be awarded NO match points
  • If a team loses a match by a margin of seven points or less, OR scores four tries, ONE match point
  • If a team loses a match by a margin of seven points or less, AND scores four tries, TWO match points
  • Teams that draw a match shall each be awarded two match points
  • In a draw, any teams who score four or more tries shall be awarded a further match point - so THREE match points
  • Grand Slam: A team that wins all five of its matches shall be awarded a further THREE match points
