But the British film favourite, 39, has featured in numerous other television and film roles, in a career spanning over two decades.
How did Danny Dyer get into acting?
Danny was discovered by an agent who auditioned him for the part of Martin Fletcher in the Granada Television series Prime Suspect 3 in 1993 and began his acting career at the tender age of 16.
Since then, other TV jobs have included roles in Cadfael, A Touch of Frost, Loved Up, Thief Takers, Soldier Soldier, Casualty, Hollyoaks Later and Skins – as well as enjoying a hugely successful film career.
Why is Danny Dyer leaving Eastenders?
On February 16, 2017 The Sun Online exclusively reported that Danny Dyer had been forced to quit the soap in order to “sort his life out”.

This follows reports that Danny fell off wagon at the National Television Awards after trying to quit booze in the new year.
An insider said: “It was clear to onlookers he appeared very drunk at the NTAs. It is best that he takes some time out to sort his life out. He appears to be exhausted.
“As a result, Danny is not filming on the show at all. There is an enforced break that is expected to last a number of weeks.
“At the end of the day, he remains the biggest star of the show — so everyone is determined to get him back to his best.”

Born in Canning Town, east London in 1977, Danny, who is an avid West Ham United fan, now lives in Essex with his wife Jo Mas and daughters Dani and Sunnie, as well as son Arty.

While the show Who Do You Think You Are? revealed blue blood in Danny's history, it doesn't necessarily mean his is related to the Prince, and he's certainly not any close relation.

What tattoos does Danny Dyer have?
From what we can work out after hours of studying topless pics of the star - someone's got to do it right? - Danny has two tattoos.
The first is on his hand and it is a series of Thai symbols which are thought to be of his name.
He also tweeted a picture of a shoulder tattoo back in 2013 with the caption: "Have a pipe at my tattoo."
