Coronation Street legend Liz Dawn has been rushed to hospital with a lung condition, according to reports.

The former actress, 74, who played long-running character Vera Duckworth in the soap, fell ill suddenly on Thursday, it is believed.

She was admitted to a Manchester hospital with emphysema and is said to be suffering chest pains.

A source told The Sun: “She’s not in a good way and her loved ones are obviously very worried.”

Liz has been confined to a wheelchair in recent years and suffered a heart attack in 2013.
