Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe threatened to kill jail doctor the day before she died of a brain haemorrhage

Gloating Peter Sutcliffe boasted how he scared the life out of a doctor in jail – the day before she died of a brain haemorrhage.

Yorkshire Ripper Sutcliffe bragged to pals that he left psychiatrist Daphne Sasieni “frightened to death” after threatening to stab her in the eye with a pen.

Dr Sasieni, who was interviewing the monster while he was on remand, died aged 54 after collapsing the next day.

She had been having a consultation with Sutcliffe in 1981 as he was awaiting trial for his notorious killing spree.

Sutcliffe, 34 at the time, told a friend: “She was saying things that upset me, so I thought, ‘I’ll upset you’.

“I said to her, ‘Before you could ring the buzzer and bring the staff in, I could get that pen and jab it into your eye straight into your brain and you’d be dead’.

Dr Sasieni died in March 1981.

She had been working as a medical officer and psychiatrist at HMP Armley, Leeds, where Sutcliffe was held ahead of his trial for murdering 13 women and attempting to kill another seven.
