Watch Lukaku give Paul Pogba taste of what to expect ahead of £75million Man United move during 5-a-side

Man United fans were feverish with excitement last night amid reports that Romelu Lukaku looks set to join for £75million.

United have blindsided rivals Chelsea who were in pole position to land the Belgian striker up until recently.

But a much-publicised bromance with world record transfer Paul Pogba appears to have helped persuade Lukaku his future lies away from former club Chelsea.

The pair have been holidaying on the west coast of the States together for the past few weeks.

And they even gave supporters a glimpse of what’s to come by joining in a kickabout at the US5Center football fields in Los Angeles.

But Lukaku, 24, has the last laugh, somehow getting to his feet to pull off the kind of powerful finish United will be hoping to see plenty more of next season.

The striker is set to undergo a medical at the UCLA campus overnight and meet up with the rest of the United squad when they arrive on Monday.

Lukaku is understood to have been offered a four-year deal with the option for a further 12 months and is set to earn a salary in the region of £200,000-a-week.

United’s successful pursuit of Lukaku has also seen them end their interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, leaving the Spanish giants red-faced.

Madrid refused to budge from their £75m valuation of Morata, believing he was United’s only option to replace the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney, who is returning to Everton.

But United outflanked Real as well as Chelsea, by reaching agreement with Everton on a fee for Lukaku and then pulling the plug on the Morata deal.
